Privacy Notice

Draft for the test phase — not legal advice. Before public or paid use, the operator must review this notice and add the actual details of the controller, hosting, email, and processors.

1. Controller

Add before public use: [[Name or company]], [[service address]], [[contact email address]].

2. Data processed by PlotGrove

When you use an account, PlotGrove processes your username, email address, profile information, protected login data, security events, and the book, chapter, lexicon, and note content you save. A password reset or email verification processes the technical data required for that purpose.

3. How the data is used

Processing provides your account and writing workspace, stores your content, protects account security, supports communication about your account, and helps analyse errors and prevent abuse.

4. Visibility and sharing

Your content is private by default and is not publicly visible. PlotGrove does not sell content or use it for advertising. Data is shared only when necessary for technical operation, when you initiate it yourself, or when there is a legal obligation.

5. Hosting and email

Add before public use: [[Hosting provider and server location]], [[email provider]], [[other processors]].

6. Retention and deletion

Account data and content are generally stored for as long as the account exists or they are needed for the relevant purpose. Security and statutory retention reasons may require longer periods. Specific periods must be added before public launch.

7. Your rights

Where the legal requirements are met, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Versions of this notice

When you register, PlotGrove records which version of this Privacy Notice you read. This link remains traceable after later changes.
